Meet Dr. Walk
Dr. Kelly Walk grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in psychology from the University of Virginia, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and was honored to receive the award for highest academic achievement. Dr. Walk went on to complete her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Columbia University – New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she was a teaching assistant and gained valuable experience treating children with complex medical needs and special needs.
Dr. Walk is board certified in pediatric dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Walk has also completed continuing education in sedation dentistry and airway management, as well as pharmacology, to deliver safe, gentle, and comfortable dental care. She values staying up-to-date with current techniques and research in pediatric dentistry in order to provide the best possible care to her patients.
Dr. Walk’s warm personality and gentle manner help children feel at ease. She is dedicated to providing high quality dental care in a positive and warm environment. She focuses on helping patients develop good habits and positive dental attitudes for a lifetime of oral health. With an individualized approach for each patient, she takes into account specific patient factors in management such as behavior or sensory issues to build their confidence for future visits.
Dr. Walk lives locally in Summit, New Jersey, and is happily married with two wonderful young daughters. She enjoys traveling, reading, playing tennis and paddle, yoga, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. There is a special place in her heart for UVA basketball and Harry Potter!
